The other day I was clearing out the girls’ toy area and separating toys into “keep” and “donate” piles. I felt both grateful and a little overwhelmed in that moment; grateful that the girls have loving friends and family who spoil them with gifts, but also a little stuck on how to store and what to do with everything. That moment sparked this guide for non-toy toddler gifts. Most of these gifts are every day essentials that parents would greatly appreciate, with a few that aren’t necessarily “essentials” but are great nice-to-haves.
One of my favorite suggestions in the guide is gifting experiences. If you know a stay-at-home parent, gifting a month or year pass to a local museum or play gym would make all the difference for them. Often times, local attractions are pricey so gifting them a membership is such a great gift for parents with young toddlers because they can get out of the house and have a safe and fun environment to go to.
The two most splurge-y items on the list are the toddler table set and the kitchen helper. We own both and highly recommend to anyone with kids six and under. The table is a very decent price point compared to others on the market, it’s metal (making it very easy to clean), and quite stylish for a kid’s table. The kitchen helper has been instrumental in getting the girls interested in helping in the kitchen and they love baking in it too.
We also own the tumbler set and it’s become the only tumblers my girls use at home. It keeps their drinks hot or cold and my oldest daughter has now started using them as cups. Great quality and so cute.
I’d love to hear what non-toy toddler gifts you’d recommend and if you own any from my guide?
Until my next one.
